Dr. Marisa Houser, ND

Dr. Houser is a Naturopathic Doctor and Acupuncturist.

She earned a Doctorate degree in Naturopathic Medicine and a Master’s degree in Acupuncture from the University of Bridgeport. 

Dr. Houser is excited to join the team at Tao Vitality and looks forward to helping patients achieve their health goals through natural alternative medicine and acupuncture.

Traditional Chinese Medicine Certified

She also studied at the Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the largest out-patient TCM hospital in Shenyang, China where she earned a certificate for her studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Lyme Disease Mentorship Under Dr. Hinchey

While completing her studies at the University of Bridgeport, Dr. Houser was mentored by Tao Vitality’s very own Dr. Hinchey in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of Lyme disease and other co-infections.

Giving Back To Underserved Communities

Dr. Houser is passionate about giving back to underserved communities. Prior to medical school, she spent time as a breastfeeding coach in conjunction with a local hospital and a community outreach office.

During school, she spent many of her clinical training hours working with patients in community clinic settings, including a rehabilitation center for those afflicted with addiction.

Currently, Dr. Houser is in the planning and networking stages to discover how she can now help the underserved in our own communities.

Personal Activities

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two children and two dogs, exploring nature, and camping.
